GREASE
Following the success of Little Shop of Horrors, Cope Creative and de Jager Productions teamed up once again in 2023 to bring the beloved musical Grease to The Event Centre Caloundra. This high-energy production took over the Kings Theatre, delivering a spectacular sold-out season that left audiences singing and dancing in their seats.
With a live band, a large and talented cast, and an impressive large-scale set, this production of Grease brought the magic of Rydell High to life like never before. Eye-popping costumes, electrifying choreography, and powerhouse vocals paid tribute to the iconic film and stage show, ensuring an unforgettable experience for audiences of all ages.
Riley Cope and Marina de Jager are passionate about bringing high-quality theatre to the Sunshine Coast, performed by locals for locals. LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS
In May 2022, Cope Creative and de Jager Productions joined forces for the first time to bring the cult classic Little Shop of Horrors to life as part of the renowned Anywhere Festival. This smash Broadway musical, featuring the infamous flesh-eating plant Audrey II, captivated audiences across two locations (Sunshine Coast and Brisbane) delivering sell-out performances and receiving glowing reviews.
Little Shop of Horrors was a perfect fit for the Anywhere Festival, which challenges artists to present shows in unique, non-traditional spaces. Our production embraced this concept, bringing the musical to life at Mountain Creek State High School on the Sunshine Coast and EC Venue in Fortitude Valley, Brisbane. The unconventional settings added an exciting new dimension to this much-loved show, immersing audiences in a fresh and dynamic theatre experience.
This production marked the beginning of a successful partnership between Riley Cope and Marina de Jager. Since then, the duo has continued to bring exciting and high-quality musical theatre to audiences, pushing creative boundaries and delivering unforgettable performances.
